Background
In retail settings, advertisers are deploying flat screen monitors and projectors to promote merchandise with motion graphic videos. Increasingly, in-store customers are able to use motion, light sensitive or gesture recognition devices to interact with the video content. For example, this could permit an in-store customer to access a 360° view of a product and access infographic data about it not printed on a card attached to the item.
As well, touch screens are being used to allow users to quickly scroll through store merchandise. Apparel ensembles and equipment packages can be organized by theme and displayed in on-screen catalogue style layouts. Additionally, in many retail settings customers have grown accustomed to using self-check-out touch screens to expedite the purchase process.
Task
This whole project is all about creating a multi-part interactive retail installation. This includes Interactive Product Overview, Touchscreen Ordering Station and a 360° view Product Station.
1. Recreate an outdoor brand as well as its branding,
with the details provided by the professor
2. Shoot and edit various apparel equipment relevant with the brand
3. Design the UI/UX of the each product overview display
4. Application of design through coding (HTML / CSS / Javascript ) in to the web app provided
5. Create a promotional motion graphics video for the brand
